Your first visit
What to expect as a new patient.
The exact appointment depends on why you are coming in, but a first visit commonly includes the steps below.
Examine and take X-rays when needed
The dentist examines your teeth, gums, bite and existing dental work. Dental radiographs are recommended when they add clinically useful information.
Discuss findings and next steps
We explain what was found, answer questions and discuss priorities and treatment options before you decide how to proceed.
Before your appointment
A few things to bring.
- Your current dental-benefit/insurance information, if applicable.
- A current medication list and relevant medical information.
- Any recent dental X-rays or records you already have access to, if relevant.
- Questions or concerns you want to make sure we discuss.
New Patient Form
You can download the clinic's current new-patient form before your visit. It includes contact, medical and dental history information used to help provide safe care.
If you prefer, contact the clinic and ask whether the form can be completed when you arrive.
Direct billing
The clinic can direct bill many benefit plans when available. Coverage and insurer payment remain dependent on the individual plan.
Payment options
The current clinic information lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit, e-transfer, cheque and cash as accepted payment methods.
